In 2002, Technology Goddesses™ was founded by Cora Carmody as an action to help reduce the disparity between women and men in both Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).
- To help girls acquire technology skills in the collaborative fashion they prefer, while helping to spark and sustain their interest through the years.
- To sustain interest and involvement in technology from an early age; most programs are designed to interest high school and college-aged women
- To communicate the societal value of technology
- To imbue a sense of belonging and technical confidence
- To communicate the richness, variety, & fulfillment of IT careers

The program of technologies we provide has been evolving since 2002! We have always co-mingled arts and crafts with multi-media, web development, open source based graphic design, office applications, geocaching, and other activities like outdoor skills, leadership and engagement. Our Technology Goddesses Day Camp has been a San Diego Girl Scout Day Camp since 2005; one of the oldest continuously run STEAM programs around. We take preschool and boy children of volunteers as well as campers in grades K-12. Many of our long time campers grow with us through high school, then return as young adult volunteers in college and as their careers launch.
